FOREST, Va. – Shenandoah University had two women honored as ODAC Player of the Week selections in picks announced Tuesday by the conference office.

Seniors Emily Yergin and Megan Stevens were selected as ODAC Players of the Week in women's soccer and field hockey, respectively.

Yergin led the women's soccer team to a pair of wins at the Meredith College Classic with three goals and one assist.

Yergin's third goal was her 51st career tally, tying her with Brandy (Wheeler) Hudson '95 and Jen (Johnson) Boyer '95 for the all-time lead at SU.

This is her fourth career weekly honor from the ODAC. She is also a three-time first team All-ODAC honoree.

Stevens also led the field hockey to two wins – opening with a 4-1 victory over Gettysburg on Friday before taking out No. 17 Washington & Jefferson, 5-0, Sunday afternoon.

The win over the Presidents is the first-ever victory over a ranked team in field hockey program history.

Stevens had three goals in the two games, including the game-winner versus W&J, and also had one defensive save.

This is her second-ever ODAC weekly honor.
