SALEM, Va. - The Shenandoah University earned a 3-2 ODAC overtime victory at Roanoke College Saturday afternoon.
The Maroons (8-7, 1-4 ODAC) got out to a quick lead scoring two in the first quarter before the Hornets (11-3, 4-1) fought their way back to earn a W on the road.
HOW IT HAPPENED
RC 02:15 | Emilie Wooten broke open the scoring for the Maroons with an unassisted goal scoring off a rebounded shot.
RC 13:10 | Wooten score a second unassisted goal to end the first quarter of play, giving the Maroons a 2-0 lead.
SU 22:34 | Kelsey Jones scored an unassisted goal for the Hornets to cut the deficit to oneÂ
SU 28:28 | Jones found Megan Stevens off a corner just before halftime to tie up the contest.
SU 69:19 | Jones wove in and out of traffic to pick up the game-winning goal in the first overtime period.
